Mgr/Sr Mgr Risk Management Job

Responsibilities:
The candidate would be required to conduct research, development and
refinement of risk assessment/rating methodologies and have an
understanding of modern credit risk mitigation tools such as credit
derivatives. Candidate will also be tasked with building probability of
liquidation (PL) and Loss Given Default (LGD) models with specific
responsibility to develop a unique assessment system from internal data,
bond default history, financials and other sources to evaluate the
“true†financial condition of post-default entities and their
susceptibility to external factors leading to liquidation. Candidate
will work closely with our internal risk colleagues among different
business units as well as external risk professionals on valuation
methodologies and strategies for our large firm portfolios within the
Institutional Risk Management.
More specifically, the candidate will focus on building internal
liquidation databases, constructing financial cash flow models,
estimating firm intrinsic values, evaluating asset liquidation prices,
and researching on industry specific liquidation drivers.. He or she
will need to convert multiple complex capital reorganization plans into
well defined cash flow models for distressed companies and conduct
liquidation valuation analysis.
The candicate should also have excellent analytical, quantitative and
problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to translate analytical
results to business strategies. Strong collaborative and communication
skills. High energy, commitment and focus on flawless execution.

Required Qualifications:
The qualified candidate should have:
- Minimum Master's Degree in Quantitative field or Business
Administration; 3-4 years of experience in Credit Card or Financial
Industry is preferred.
- Ability to efficiently review financial statements and regulatory
filings (for example. 10Ks and 10Qs) and make meaningful accounting,
financial, risk-related, and financial reporting observations and
projections.
- Proven ability to apply quantitative techniques and statistical tools
and translate results to business solutions.
- Working knowledge of financial application tools and databases such as
Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ, Compustat etc.
- Demonstrated project management skills and understanding of
Institutional Risk Management Principles.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, strong communication
and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance personal workload.
